Finally the production is coming to an end, 3 more weeks and I'm done with it! Yeah!~!~~ Alot of things happen during the pass weeks, although I'm pratically living like a hermit:
Finally, yesterday we finish the last major scenes in the drama:
1. "last" major scene: family dayYes! a stupid family day that occupy 3/4 of the episode! I started my day at 5am at the pitch black park blowing helium balloons, setting up tents, hanging flags, etc to make it a believable family day on screen. Saw the sunrise before my eyes. :o) It was a hot hot day.... by the mid of the day, i'm already battery flat.... ke ke. No forgetting, my stupid stupid PA! I asked him to buy ices and rose syrup in the morning coz i was to carry the ladder from my house to office in the morning. Oh ya the ladder, it must be a funny sight to see a skinny girl early in the morning at 4am carrying a ladder walking on the street, coz a few taxi driver was waving at me. Wahahha. Okay back to that stupid PA. I was to depart at 4.30am so that I have enough time for setup, and as usual he was not there! I have to call him, only to find out that he can't find any place that is open at his place... which i told him that: "Isn't there a 24hour cold storage near office!!!" He said he dont know... at least he should know there is 7-11 what! *faint* okay enough say of this stupid PA coz I will write a whole passage about him later. Heat was getting us the whole day, luck there is abit of breeze from the sea. The mothers were worrying about their babies baking under the sun, etc. and we are suppose to have a "surprise" party for jessica but some how I felt that she antispate it already. The major accident happened when they are doing the 3 legged race- which they suppose to trip and fall. While they are doing that, the poor little jessica's leg was been sqaush when they fall. It was a very nasty and cruel scene, as her mother watched her daughter cry and she could not shout cut as not to spoilt the shot. *sob sob* I can see in her eyes that she was so heartaching. Finally, we mange to finish all the scenes, despite chasing after the setting sun.
2. 90s flashback superhero christmas party!This setup is to turn the Aloha chalet into a christmas party! Wiring up the christmas lighting took more time than we expected! We worked our ass off only to find out that there wasnt enough food for us! another stupid incident by my stupid PA. we worked through out the night till 5am in the morning. An eerie place to be especially during the chinese 7th month.
3. present day christmas party.Another setup without giving us enough setup time to dress up the set. We have to light up a christmas tree, fill the house with christmas light, dress up the dinning table. And we have to do the exact the next day... due to stupid actors constraint.... if you are not the person doing it, you wont know its a lot of hard work just to setup it up again and again!
4. beautiful wedding at chijmesAlthought it wasn't alot of setup to do but the major thing to do is to make the teddy bear fly from the roof of a car to the windscreen of the other! I think we spend almost 30min to an hour just to figure out. Finally, the taxi driver, climb up to his own taxi and pull the string. ke ke The visual turn out beautiful inside the church. I would like to get marry there sia, beautiful! ke ke *dream on*
okay finally, the worst are finish, left the last episode and praying hard that there will be no another wedding! Now to the stupid PA, I was talking about. He is beyong words I can describle, either he is stupid, low EQ and IQ or he is just pretending to be stupid coz he just do not get it after close to a month production. He was almost late everyday and I have to call him to check where is he. At times, we will even depart forgetting about him only to realise half way. ke ke. First, it was the food issue, which I asked him to produce a sponsor timetable so that I know, my driver know where and what we are eating on that day. I asked him once, he did not gave it to be, I asked him twice, he did not give it to me. When I talk to him, he was all quiet and I wonder did he ever understand what i was talking to him or rather he treated me lecturing and picking on him sia. If you do your job well, do you think I bother picking on you. I remember when I was an intern back in my poly days and last yr. I was to clean rubbish, buy food, etc Although I drag doing all these but never I dare to be late, etc. I do what I was told to, holding my position well. He! almost all the time, my cooler box is empty with water and my poor prop master have to help him with clearing rubbish, filling the water, etc which most of the time I don't know what is he busy about. Not only that he has HONGKONG feet, eeeeeeeeeeeeek which he don't bother to wash his feet when he come to office. I'm not sure does it work, but at least it will take some of the stench away mah! *faint* Food sponsor is still in a chaos after a month, where he keep claiming that the sponsors back out the last minute. Will try to do something about it later when I get back to the office. He is goner! Life is such!!!! work and work, apart from that still work!!! at the end of the day, you can only tell yourself its what you love to do- creating magic infront the eyes of the television viewer.
But life is not like television... its much tougher than I though it will be.... there is so much I dont understand... so much to learn from start...
